product details
GRAPE VARIETY: A traditional blend of predominantly Montepulciano and Sangiovese.
APPELLATION: Marche IGT Rosso.
SOIL TYPE: Clay-limestone soils with a significant presence of “scheletro” (rock fragments/pebbles). Low yields and agronomic management focused on promoting concentration, phenolic ripeness, and a balanced vegetative-productive cycle.
HARVEST PERIOD: Harvested between late September and early October, with a meticulous selection of the clusters.
WINEMAKING TECHNOLOGY: Destemming and temperature-controlled fermentation with maceration on the skins for 12–15 days. Programmed pump-overs and délestage (rack and return) to optimize the extraction of color and noble tannins. Aging in stainless steel followed by bottle refinement to complete the evolution and harmonization of the flavor profile.
COLOR: Intense ruby red with developing garnet highlights; consistent and deep.
SENSORY NOTES (NOSE): A broad and complex profile, with distinct notes of black cherry, ripe plum, and wild berries. These are followed by elegant spicy nuances of black pepper and licorice, with light balsamic hints and a delicate touch of violet. The bouquet expresses territorial typicity and aromatic finesse.
SENSORY NOTES (PALATE): Structured and enveloping, with a dense yet velvety tannic texture. The balance between freshness and softness supports a full and harmonious sip. The fruity component integrates with light spicy sensations, leading to a long, persistent, and elegantly clean finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with structured first courses in meat sauce (ragù), roasts and braised meats, grilled red meats, game, and aged cheeses. A perfect match for traditional Marche cuisine.
SERVING: Serve at 16–18°C. A light aeration/oxygenation before serving is recommended.
GLASS TYPE: Large balloon or wide bowl glass for structured red wines.
